My brother was sent to Iraq a few months ago. While we were mourning our sisters loss. My brother is my strength, my sanity, and my confidant. Missing him with all my heart and am willing to help in any aspect for our brave friends, family members and strangers that serve THEIR LIVES to protect us. My love and gratitude extends beyond my brother and into the lives of many others. The least I can do for anyone is give my hands as an instiment to make, pack, wrap, and prayers to EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU.... My brothers name is Wade Blakely Ledet. and I am PROUD to call him my BROTHER!!

When we both look up in the sky, we see the same stars.
We wish for the same things, safety and end to the war.
Maybe not at the same time but we still speak to the same stars.
I do not know you but I pray for safety for all those over there. Proud to be looking at the same stars with you.

God bless you. The memory of your son will live forever in the hearts of those he fought for. We can never repay his and your sacrifice, but we will always honor it.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude on behalf of my brothers and sisters deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom - the Soldiers, the Airman, the Sailors, the Marines. Your continued support from home touches so many. Eyes light up when a care pkg arrives, it's a big wow to get a few things you might not be privy to. And I still get choked up each time we pass along a card, letter, or note from a child. To hear about your yellow ribbon and to know we're in your thoughts and prayers. The support is overwhelming and the sacrifices you also make means so much. I am proud of our country and of each of you. Hang those flags high because YOU are the ones that make this country great and worth fighting for. Heartfelt thanks and God speed, Traci

My family and I just started writing and sending a care package to a co-worker's brother stationed in Iraq. In our first package sent we were so concerned not to send the wrong things. We thought sincerely about what to send and finally got together a great appropriate care package and awaited hearing back from Miguel, our friend. What an amazing feeling it was to know that we were going to make a difference in his day. If only one day, it is so worth it! We plan to change many more days.

This story is long, but worth it. I was at a local Wal-Mart in Stockton CA and in a line awaiting my turn at the register. Being a bit nosey, I did notice the gal at the register checking out. She was buying many many containers of "crystal light", toothpaste, etc. It seemed obvious that she was buying for a specific need. I assumed (having just sent a care package) that she was sending the same. I looked at her shirt and read "support our troops". I thankfully walked up to her and asked her advice on what to send and the name of her organization. I was grateful for her advice on what to send. She also made sure she told me to add our fried to the soldier list. What an awesome day to have run into her! I am truly grateful for her advice! Her name is unknown, but her efforts and love are everlasting!

Thank you for all of your efforts in supporting our troops who support our freedom.

Sincerely,

Karrie Goold and Family

Thanks for all you do. I found this site as I was looking for ideas on what to send to some troops. I am from Cub Scout Pack 446, and we are gathering items this month to send. We have a connection to a troop through one of our Committee Members.
